Uzun yol dostu

Frequently asked questions
How do I find out whether there is a speed camera on this road?
Pick your origin and destination and YolRadar shows the fixed speed cameras, EDS average-speed corridors and control points along the route before you leave. Corridor results are checked against the Turkish Interior Ministry's published data; fixed cameras and control points come from YolRadar's own verified dataset. For spoken warnings while you drive, use the iOS app.
What is an EDS speed corridor, and how is it different from a fixed camera?
A fixed camera reads your speed at a single point — if you are over the limit as you pass it, you are fined. An EDS corridor measures your average speed between two points: your plate is read on entry and again on exit, and the time between them gives the average. Braking just before the exit does not help; you have to stay under the limit for the whole stretch.
How much is a Turkish speeding fine in 2026?
Fines follow the schedules in Article 51 of the Turkish Highway Traffic Act. Outside built-up areas they start at ₺2,000 for 11–15 km/h over, and reach ₺30,000 plus a 90-day licence suspension above 71 km/h over. Paying within 30 days takes 25% off. The calculator on the fine page gives the exact figure.
Does YolRadar show mobile speed traps?
No. YolRadar shows recorded fixed enforcement only: speed corridors from the Interior Ministry's published data, and fixed cameras and control points from YolRadar's own verified dataset. Handheld and mobile patrols are not in the dataset and are not shown.
Is YolRadar an official government app?
No. YolRadar is an independent app. The speed-corridor data is verified against the Turkish Interior Ministry's public intercity disclosures, but YolRadar is not affiliated with any ministry and is not a radar detector. Binding speed limits are the ones posted on the road.
Can I use YolRadar as a tourist driving in Turkey?
Yes. The data covers intercity roads across all 81 provinces, so it is most useful exactly where a visitor drives longest: the motorways and highways between cities. The iPhone app runs in the background alongside Google Maps, Apple Maps or Yandex Navi, so you keep the navigation app you already know.
